পঞ্চম শ্রেণি অর্থাৎ সমাপনী পরীক্ষায় ৯ নম্বর প্রশ্নে ৫টি wh questions এসে থাকে যার মার্ক থাকে ৫x২=১০। শিক্ষার্থীদের কাছে এটি কঠিন বিষয়। সাধারণত graduation লেভেল এ এই টপিক টি পড়ানো হয়। প্রাথমিক লেভেল এ এটি দেওয়া হয়েছে, তবে সংক্ষিপ্ত ও সহজ পরিসরে। আজকে আমরা সেই wh questions কিভাবে তৈরি করতে হয় তা সহজে শেখার ও শেখানোর চেষ্টা করব।

প্রশ্ন কত প্রকার?
উত্তরঃ প্রশ্ন দুই প্রকার
  • yes/no question
  • wh question
Yes/no question কাকে বলে?
উত্তরঃ যে সকল প্রশ্নের উত্তর yes/no দিয়ে দেওয়া যায় তাদের yes/no question বলে?
yes/no question করতে বাক্যের প্রথমে do/does/did/is/are/was/were ব্যবহৃত হয়।
উদারহরণঃ
Qustion: Do you like play football?
Answer: yes/no

wh question কী বা কাকে বলে?
উত্তরঃ W ও H বিশিষ্ট শব্দ দিয়ে গঠিত প্রশ্নগুলোই হলো wh questions। wh question এর উত্তর হ্যা/না দিয়ে দেওয়া যায় না। এর উত্তর দিতে সম্পূর্ণ বাক্য লিখতে হয়।

এখন আমরা জেনে নিই কিছু শব্দ যেগুলো উত্তর থেকে প্রশ্নে পরিবর্তিত হয়।

প্রথমে আমরা শুধু বাক্যের প্রথম শব্দটি বস্তু বা প্রাণির নাম হলে এবং তার নিচে দাগ থাকলে সেটিকে কিভাবে প্রশ্নে পরিণত করা যায় অর্থাৎ Who, What, নিয়ে আলোচনা করব।

বাক্যের প্রথম শব্দের নিচে যদি দাগ দেওয়া থাকে আর সেটি যদি ব্যক্তি/মানুষ বা প্রাণি বোঝায় তাহলে ঐ শব্দের পরিবর্তে শুধু Who বসিয়ে বাকি অংশ একই রকম রাখতে হবে।

বাক্যের প্রথম শব্দের নিচে যদি দাগ দেওয়া থাকে আর সেটি যদি বস্তু বোঝায় তাহলে ঐ শব্দের পরিবর্তে শুধু What বসিয়ে বাকি অংশ একই রকম রাখতে হবে।
